Stop 1: Luxor Museum
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor or from your cruise, to take you to the Luxor Museum. The creation of the museum came at the hands of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, who hired Mahmud El Hakim, a renowned Egyptian architect, for the project of the cultural space in 1962. The works of the museum were undertaken between 1972 and 1975.

The museum was inaugurated in 1975 and houses a small number of high-quality ancient objects, in particular a magnificent green schist statue of Pharaoh Tutmosis III. Take in the spectacle of the Hypostyle Hall, filled with 134 massive columns that tower above you like an ancient forest. Turn your neck up and learn about the ingenious methods the Egyptians used to build them. See the sacred lake where the pharaonic offerings were purified, and then enjoy free time to wander the site in complete peace of mind.
